Detroit Garden Works
I stopped by one of my favorite garden emporiums - Detroit Garden Works - in Silvan Lake. It is truly a place of enchantment...even on a rainy morning.
Yes, that's right...you too can own a pair of iron bird sculptures for a mere $43,000.

Dwell Gallery - Patrick Blanc
If you enjoy Dwell Magazine like I do, you need to peruse their new and improved photo gallery. You can read the articles too for free! This garden apartment appeared several years ago and I was delighted to find it (again) in the archives. "Botanist Patrick Blanc has been bringing the wilds of the rainforests to Parisian walls for over 30 years, most recently at the Jean Nouvel–designed Quai Branly museum. One lucky family, however, doesn’t have to go any farther than their living room to take in the wonders of Blanc’s vertical gardens." Go here for more.

San Francisco based Living Green created this texture rich, modern garden in Marin County. The house, which you cannot see, is a renovated Eichler home.
